Organisations & projects

Within Addressfinder accounts, an organisation is made up of projects and users. Here is some more information on these to help you set up your account to best suit your needs.

Organisations

Most of the time, an Addressfinder organisation represents a real-world company or other type of administrative entity.

Users can be part of multiple organisations. To switch between your organisations, use the account dropdown on the top bar in the Portal. Signing up for a new account with an existing email address creates a new organisation.

Billing

Billing is managed at the organisation level. Each organisation can only be on one active subscription at a time. The benefits and allowances of your subscription are shared amongst all projects. More information on billing.

Projects

A project is a silo of usage and credentials within Addressfinder. Every project has its own set of license keys, allowed domains, and API tokens.

Use projects to split usage and give project-specific access to certain users.

  • Agile organisations can have up to 1 project.
  • Business organisations can have up to 2 projects.

Custom project allowances can be made available on request as an add-on.
